We bought these for our road trip to Disneyland (12 hours from our house!!!). We had a 5 year old in a regular booster, and a 2 year old in a full on car seat with higher sides. I did what a previous review said, and slipped the strap behind the seats, clipping and unclipping the tray as needed, and they worked perfectly! They stay pretty sturdy if you tighten them as tight as you can. They were handy when eating, though I wish they had a cup holder built in somehow. That is my only complaint. I loved the pockets on the sides, where we stored baggies of crayons, small puzzles and hot wheels. They also hold sippy cups pretty well, but my 2 year old didnt really catch on that there were pockets there, as they were out of sight for him, so we still had to hand him stuff.

I ordered mine a week before I needed them, and I got them 3 days before the trip, which was great, as they need time to lay flat before use. (they are folded up in the package) I highly recommend these, for road trips long AND short. They saved our sanity! LOL


We bought one of these to try, works awesome. We just unbuckle one end and move the tray over to the side so we can get her in and out of the car seat. The side pockets hold the Ipod and headphones and its top is sturdy enough for coloring. We liked it so much that we bought another one for our 1 year old.


I bought two different trays for my children ages 19 months and 4 years to use on a long- 24 hrs of drive time spread over 4 days- car trip. This tray worked quite well for my 19 month old for playtime and snack time. The only real problem was she kept losing her sippy cup because of the big gap. We were even in a car accident that totaled the vehicle we were in and the tray wasn't a problem.
We used this with a Graco Comfort Sport carseat- I have noticed that many reviewers don't give the carseat type. If you get this tray and it doesn't work with your child's seat, please give the rest of the benefit of your knowledge and tell us what type of seat you have.


I bought this for my two-year-old when we were about to embark on a 1500 mile road trip for a family wedding. I was nervous to say the least! I fully believe that this tray helped our trip be a success! It is soft sided, so it was comfortable when he fell asleep against it. It kept his toys/snacks/sippy cups within reach and when it became wet from a spill it dried quickly. I don't think we would have survived without it!


What a life save this product was during travel and in the car seat. I wish the lip went all the way around and it was a little sturdier. But my son can color, play cars and eat w/out any problem. We used with the sit and stroll for flights and his cosco booster in the car


As far as travel trays go, this one is decent. Deep, easy access pockets on the sides to hold snacks, drinks, small toys, crayons, small books, etc. The tray has 3 sides to keep items like crayons and small toys from rolling off the sides or front. My 4 year old liked it for drawing in the car and eating her snacks on a long road trip. My 2 year old did not like it at all. Guess it just depends on your children. :-)


I bought two of these for my toddler boys for a long road trip across country. These worked out great! I was worried about them not being sturdy enough, but they worked just fine. They ate their food on it, colored on it, even layed blankets and pillows on it so they could take a nap. This really did come in handy for our road trip. I highly recommend it!


Star Kids Snack and Travel Tray. What a terrible piece of equipment.
It is nothing like advertised. Limp and flimsy and doesn't hold anything in front of your child. Don't waste your money.


I purchased this product for my daughters 6 and 4 for a trip from Louisiana to California. It worked very well. No problem coloring on it. I gave it 4 stars because the girls could not put it on or take it off themselves.


Loved this product and would recommend it to car travelers with little ones! It gave my 2 1/2 year old (as well as my husband and myself) so much freedom on a long car ride. My son doesn't get frustrated anymore because with the back "bumper" his toys don't roll off of his lap anymore. He can also eat lunch or have a snack more independently by keeping his food on his tray without us having to keep passing it back to him. The only downside is that he didn't like it on his lap for long periods of time, maybe because he felt a loss of freedom of movement, but otherwise we love this product!

We bought a large vest for our 6-year-old to take on a trip to Washington state, where the child safety laws are very strict. We wanted to have something that would fit in the carry-on so that we didn't have to check any baggage. The travel vest does fit those criteria, but it is not easy to use. Our daughter has a hard time threading the seat belt through the shoulder guides, and it often takes a long time for her to get it all done. However, as far as I can tell, this is the only product of this type out there that actually works. It seems expensive for this type of product (about $100) but my expectation is that as it becomes more refined and "mainstream" they will deal with the two issues (difficult to use and price). Overall, it serves its purpose well and we will be using it for years to come.


This product is perfect for my autistic son. He is to large for a carseat. But cannot stay in a seatbelt. Perfect!!!!!!!!! I love this product. Mom to Alex


We are expecting our third child soon and began to experiment with placing a third car seat in the back of our Vibe and Scion xB vehicles. Unfortunately, at about 18 inches width per car seat, the 51/52 inch car seat width is *extremely* borderline. You can get them in snug, but good luck getting your hand in there to buckle the booster seat. I've also never liked where the belts cross my son's neck and stomach.

The RideSafer Travel Vest takes up much less room when used without a booster seat. I like that it routes the shoulder and lap belts to the correct location. Do not expect your child to be able to secure or remove himself, however. The belts must be properly routed through the guides and the tether (in place of or in addition to the shoulder belt) *must* be fastened. The buttons on the vest themselves are too stiff to be pressed by the child as well (safe, but inconvenient). When fastened correctly, I think the vest (even without the booster seat) appears to be safer than using a harness-less booster seat.

If I leave the tether attached, I can secure my son in less than a minute. Except for the vest buttons, he can get himself out of the vest and leave it dangling from the tether ready for his return. I think instead of leaving the vest with the babysitter, I'll buy a second one for the other vehicle. In any case, it's much cheaper than buying a new car!

If anyone can provide more information on the safety issues of using the vest without a booster, please let me know. To me, it feels safer than using a booster without the vest! In the mean time, I'll rate it a "5" for "safety" and a "3" for "ease of use" and a "5" for "space-saving."

I found several problems with this bag. First, the zipper broke very quickly. Luckily, there were two (that meet each other), and one remained functional. Next the handle/strap broke. Also, I found the height of this to be a little cumbersome but workable had there been no other issues. In some airports, the car seat will not fit through the security belt inside of the bag. I refuse to put my car seat on the filthy belt then put my child in it so that was a problem to get a supervisor to check the seat without putting it through the security belt. Next, the wheels broke off, and the material started to tear. I owned this bag for less than 1 year. I do travel quite a bit; however, I only gate checked the item - never checked all the way through. I found that getting a plain gate check bag (the red JL Childress ones) to protect the seat then putting the car seat on a luggage cart works much, much better. The height of the luggage cart is more comfortable, and the cart is much more durable. No issues with the seat fitting on security belts either because the bag is like a nylon sack. And, the luggage rack folds up easily. I would not purchase this bag again.


We have used this bag on a trip to UK and back (2 flights each way) and on a trip to Ohio. It went as checked baggage each time so I can't comment on how useful it is if you want to take it and your car seat on board. For us, it kept the car seat and base clean and dry with no damage to either the bag or it's contents. I would have given it 5 stars if it wheeled a bit better - it seems to want to wiggle way more than I'd ideally like but it was nothing that I couldn't handle.


I bought this cover for my Evenflo Triumph Advance convertible car seat (up to 50 pounds), and it fits. It is a big car seat, so there is not much extra room, but the zipper is not tight. So far, I used it once to check in the car seat, and it worked just fine.
I tried the Safety First cover and it didn't fit my car seat. The finish of the product was very good (slightly better than the Wheelie), but definitely smaller.


This is great. It's so handy and much easier to use than lugging the carseat without it. The problems are the same as what everyone else says:
-Could use some padding/thicker for protection. But that's not really what it's supposed to be for.
-Hard to pull for anyone over about 5'6". I can pull it okay but my husband has to hunch over to reach the handle.
-Would be better with four wheels. You have to really have it tipped down for it to maneuver properly. I think if the wheels swiveled it wouldn't be so bad.
I still think this is the best one on the market so far.
Edit: I just saw that they have made a new one for $4 more that has a handle extension and a shoulder strap so they have corrected one of the problems...


This is a great, durable car seat cover for any type of travel. The materal is of heavy duty fabric which will stand up to alot of abuse. They are a little tricky to pull through the airports as they do have only two wheels and have their own way of going in a different direction at times. It seems the faster one goes, this happens, especially if one is pulling two of them. But--they really are great car seat covers and protect the child's seat.


I have 2 kids, 2 years and 10.5 months. My husband and I just got back from Palm Beach, FL and we didn't know what to do with the car seats so we thought it would be easiest to wheel them through the airport. We had both kids in our double stroller, the diaper bag, my purse, an extra bag with the DVD player, a small suitcase carry on and 2 of these bags with a toddler carseat in each. Without these bags on wheels I don't know how it would have been possible to get all of this, without going insane, through the airport all the way to the end of the terminal. My husband was even able to place the small suitcase carry-on on top ot one of the travel bags and loop the strap though to wheel that as well. These also have shoulder straps and I had to place each bag on one shoulder while pushing the double stroller with the kids while my husband was checking our luggage, 3 large suitcases and 1 portacrib. On the way coming back we had bought some beach toys and there is enough room in the bags for anything extra, so we threw the plastic wagon in with one and the buckets and shovels in the other...anyways, we don't know what we would've done without these bags. This was a lot of stuff to take, everything but the highchairs, and just having wheels on the bags was so worth the money to us. The 2 travel bags and double stroller were checked as carry-on with the pink tags and given back to us as soon as we exited the plane so they were not damaged in anyway and we will be using them on our next airplane trip for sure!


This car seat bag was such a big help for our trip. We were able to roll it just like a suitcase. I had my daughter in the stroller and thought it was going to hard to push the stroller and pull the bag. It wasn't. I highly recommend this bag for any parent traveling with small children.


This product worked for us. We wheeled and carried it at different times and both worked fine. Once you stuff the seat in, you have a lot of room to stuff things in it. We stuffed in a blanket and soft car seat toys (the ones that you attached to the actual car seat). It was perfect b/c I could bring those normal things for baby to feel comfortable w/o having to hold them or jam them into the diaper bag (which is already packed full!).


I found the material of the bag decent -- it didn't rip at all. I imagine this will work for us for sometime and if we ever get any tears, it is called duct tape, people!!! :-)



This was great when we travelled. It kept our car seat from getting dirty, wet, or damaged. The fact that it has wheels is great and we were able to get around easily at the airport. Don't know what we would have done without it.


I have traveled with my Britax Marathon carseat without this product and I will never do that again. Even if this product had only lasted for one trip, it was completely worth every penny. We had no issues with wear and tear on it and it worked very well to carry the carseat and everything a travel high chair. I highly recommend this product if you ever plan to travel with your carseat.
