We got 2 of these for our 9.5 month old twins (at the time) for travel. When folded up it barely takes up any space (vs. a pack & play). They pop open instantly (like some of those car sunshades). I had the girls take naps in them a few times for a week before the trip to get used to them. They are a little tricky to fold back properly. You usually have to try a few different times until you get it just right. DO NOT force it or it will break the frame (thanks overly strong and determined hubby!). Just make sure to go with the natural give.


Works great! Our daughter is 10 months old and slept in it so wonderfully- better than in a pack and play. It is a little hard to fold it back together but overall a great product! It is light weight and easy to travel with.


This is a great product! Now if I could just get my daughter to SLEEP in it, instead of use it as a fort...


This is a good product. I do worry about how it will work when my baby gets old enough to crawl and walk but for now it's great.


I purchased the Peapod Plus for a trip to visit Grandma. My 2 1/2 year old daughter recently transitioned to a toddler bed due to climbing out of her crib, so the crib at Grandma's was no longer an option (not to mention that it would be occupied by her 6 month old sister.)

The Peapod Plus worked great! My daughter loved having her own space and couldn't wait to show off her "big girl bed." She had plenty of room and slept well every night. The item couldn't be easier to set up and packed away nicely. The storage bag was roomy enough to fit her bedding and held up well when it was checked at the airport (was originally packed in our suitcase, but we were over the weight limit and had to check it separately.)

The only drawback was the noise factor - the sleeping bag rubbing the bottom of the tent was pretty noisy, but I remedied this by taking the air mattress out of the bottom storage compartment and putting it into the tent. The sleeping bag has a lip that fits over the mattress to keep it in place and since the mattress has a velvety coating the loud rubbing sound was eliminated.

I would definitely recommend this product. We'll be using it at Thanksgiving when we visit the Great Grandparents and my daughter can wait!


My family all went to Maui for 7 days. We were nervous that our 22 month old son would have trouble sleeping in something other than his crib (he has one slept in his crib). We loved how easy the tent opens and closes down. Our son loved it and slept in it every night with no prblems. We left the door on it open so he could come and get us if he was scared. Overall, this tent was a lot of fun for him. He still uses it sometimes back at home. We even use it at the beach!!! This is a great product!!!


We have twin toddler granddaughters who outgrew their "pack n plays" at about age 2. My daughter found this product and we set it up in our spare bedroom for the girls to sleep in when they spend the night, which averages out to 2-3 times a month. The princess peapods are roomy enough for their loveys, a travel pillow and blankets. They love being zipped in. The only suggestion I have, to be extra secure, is to use a zip-tie or safety pin, to fasten the two zipper pulls together. The girls could unzip them and get out. If your toddler is not in a childproof bedroom or other secure place, please keep this in mind. The peapods also went along with the girls and their parents on a trip away and were used in their hotel room. They were already used to them so they adapted very well!
They are quite easy to set up, take down and take along. This grandma highly recommends the PeaPod Princess.


My husband and I bought this for a trip accross the county with our 2yr old. We originally purchased the Peapod, not the peapod plus and I think anyone reading this should note the difference that I didn't figure out from the pictures or descriptions. The Peapod plus has full screens with coverings (important for putting kids to bed in the hotel room with you; now they can't see us). The peapod, although it had full screens, had no way to cover them. All in all, this is a great little travel bed.


We purchased this for our 2 year old daughter for a trip to Maine. I wasn't sure that she was going to like this bed as it is fully enclosed, but I wanted a bed that was enclosed to keep bugs away from her at night. She really loved the bed! The matrress is quite comfy and at times you don't even need the pad underneath if you are indoors. The fact that I was sure she wouldn't be attacked by bugs at night and couldn't get out of it on her own were selling points for me. I am happy with this bed.


I purchased this for a trip we were taking to the US and did not see it until I arrived at my destination as they do not ship to the UK. When we arrived my 6 month old was exhausted and needed to go to bed. We were able to put this bed together in no time at all and she was happy to sleep in it the whole time we were in the US.

I love the pretty pink color and my daughter is perfectly happy to sleep in it as well as play in it with her toys when she is awake. It was a bit bigger then I expected it to be, but I am happy that it will last her for quite a while.

It all fits in its travel bag nicely and I was surprised at how easy it was to fold back down. (I have another tent thing that is similar and cannot fold it up properly) I even have room in the bag for bedding and toys which makes this really handy when you are on the move alot.

The only issue I have with it is that one of the flap toggles is sewed on incorrectly, it doesn't really cause an issue, but it isn't perfect, so I didn't feel I could give it 5 stars. I do love this item though and look forward to using it in the coming years every time we travel.

My biggest concern was that folding up the PeaPod might be a challenge, however the instructions are very easy to follow and it folds up really quickly.
Our 9-month-old granddaughter has taken to the PeaPod immediately and feels quite at home in her little den.
It's surprisingly spacious - our baby still fits sideways and she can sit up - yet it does not take up as much room as conventional travel cots.
We keep finding new good features, e.g. the door and end flaps can be tied to stay up.


My daughter has enjoyed playing in her PeaPod-we have not yet tested it overnight. It is well made, the zippers run smoothly I have no complaints. The packaging was pretty badly damaged from shipping, so had this been a gift, I would not have felt comfortable with the condition of the packaging. The product box should be packed inside a shipping box.


The PeaPod is easy to set up, made well, and it has been a lot of fun for my 12-month old to play in and with. Unfortunately though, my exceptionally easy-going child won't yet sleep in it.

I suggest buying this product well ahead of needing it for travel so your child can nap in it at home and become accustomed to it.


We bought the deluxe Peapod because we're planning a trip to visit relatives and will have to fly. We didn't want to take our child's portable crib so we thought we'd try this. We went to a conference and stayed in a hotel, so we decided to test out the Peapod with our 13-month-old. It was perfect! He didn't fuss at all about being in a confined space and went right to sleep. It was super easy to put together and to break down. And, it's long enough that he'll be able to use it for many years to come. I feel very confident about our upcoming trip thanks to the Peapod, especially since it will fit in our largest suitcase!


We have used this tent for two trips so far and it has worked out wonderfully. We have an 11 month old and she sleeps in it just fine. We don't use the sleeping bag option because she is too little so I used one of her crib sheets around the inflatable mattress.
My only wish is that the opening unzipped a bit further and I could lay her in it from the top instead of the side.


This little tent is genius, I wish I'd used this instead of a pack n' play when my son - now 2 - was younger and couldn't complain about where he was sleeping.
It's light and compact for travel, it sets up in a flash (literally, you just toss the thing on the floor and it sets itself up like something out of Looney Toons), it's safe, it's attractive, and keeps out light and bugs. Brilliant.
If I HAD to complain about something, I'd say that for light/fussy sleepers like my kid, even the sound of zipping the tent would startle him awake. PLus, as someone else has mentioned: he CAN get out of the tent on his own, so you have to be extra careful about child-proofing whatever area your child is sleeping in, just in case he gets out in the wee hours of the morning and goes exploring.
UNfortunately for me, my kid refuses to sleep in it. Ah well. Still, we'll keep it set up in his room in the hopes that as he ages, he'll become less finicky.


The product is great, very easy to handle and is perfect when you go hiking or to the beach or to the park. The only problem is that my son does not like to be inside or under anything. So I can never make him sleep or even sit inside the travel bed for more than 5 min. I think he is just a different boy with a different personality. One more thing, my son is one year old and is a very tall boy for his age(33 inches) and I was glad to see the size of portable bed because he does not fit in most of the portable beds we got earlier. I may not be using this product for my son but keeping it and hoping my next baby will like it because it certainly is very light weight, portable bed, looks very comfy and cozy that most of the kids would like.


We took our 2 year old on a Carribean vacation. She had never slept in a Peapod before our trip, and it worked like a dream. Since you can zip the tent closed, we didn't worry about her wandering around at bed time or nap time. I would highly recommend this. We even use it at home now for nap time because she likes it so much.


This is the stupidest product for three reasons:

1. You have to get down on your knees and lean down to put your baby in, by which time that baby's probably woken up (my three month old always did)

2. The zipper is really loud, if you want to avoid your baby rolling out and want to zip it up. The zipper sound always freaked out my baby

3. You're not supposed to zip it up when the baby is asleep in it unsupervised anyway. Unzipped, my baby rolled out after ten minutes.

This is good as a tent, if you're at a picnic and you plan to be watching the baby. However, it is NOT good as a pack and play substitute.


Wonderful product and as a parent I am at ease for I know my baby is safe sleeping in the PeaPod. My baby loves it. We use it when we go traveling and put it up in the hotel room. The mattress is also comfortable.
